Supplementary feeding is based on Gledpark produced haylage.
At Gledpark we seek to be exemplars of agricultural best practice through assurance, health testing, water capture, electricity generation and hosting our own pollinators with 20 bee hives.
Progressive in outlook we have been or are hosts to the following:

NFUS Renewable Initiative Demonstration Farm Six
Deer Farm and Park Demonstration Project Host Unit
Galloway and Dumfrieshire Deer Group Host Farm
Wigtown Book Festival
Gledpark's Red Deer live all year in large paddocks with plenty of cover; providing the forbs and woody browse which are a key component of their diet. Our supplementary feeding during the winter months results in very high calving rates as yearlings and no calf mortality.
Gledpark animals are particularly suited as breeding stock to improve wild populations, or live capture based herds.
As such proud to have been selected to provide breeding hinds to Forestry Commission Scotlands Red Deer Range
The fold contains the Whitebred Shorthorn Association's Champion Female of Nov 2013 from an entry of 6.

All our animals are tag tested clear of BVD at birth, we are on a 4 yearly testing regime for TB and all animals are tested additionally for IBR, and Johnnes. We are PCHS members and enrolled in the Beef Efficiency Scheme. QMS Assurance No 17298.
